Vicente Guzman was born in Puebla, Mexico where he was influenced by
his Mexican culture. The varied, vibrant colors and intricate details
in his paintings stem from the colorful lifestyle in Puebla where
everything from houses and clothing depicted splashes of color and
detail. The graffiti style was incorporated into his paintings when he
moved to California at the age of 15. Believe it or not, his painting
style came about when he learned to develop his skills with Graffiti
art, enabling him fit into the young American teenage culture. After
becoming popular with his graffiti style and countless drawings for his
peers, he paints in different mediums such as: acrylic paint, paint
markers, airbrush, pastels. He loves to experiment with the paints as
well as materials and fell in love with the medium acrylic paint.
He
now is pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree and is living in San
Francisco today, a city as vibrant and varied as his paintings.
