We are so blessed to have experienced the people, the Temple, the day parties, the night parties, our awesome Disco Knight camp, and the dust! We thank everyone who was a part of it, it was a life changing time for the both of us! The year hasn't even ended and we can not wait 'til next year. The Man burns in 284 days!

]]><![CDATA[My Heart Beats for… Burning Man!]]>Tue, 23 Aug 2011 14:35:04 -0800http://www.myheartbeatsforsf.com/1/post/2011/08/my-heart-beats-for-burning-man.htmlAfter a few years of attempting to attend the most interesting and much anticipated art and self expression festival in the United States, we are excited to say that My Heart Beats For… will be making it’s “come back” at the Playa…Black Rock City, here we come!

We've got our camping gear ready to go, dust masks on hand, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, dancing shoes and of course, lot’s of COSTUMES but with less than a week to go, we've still got so much to do to prepare for the week long celebration of My Heart Beats For’s core beliefs; Art, Fashion and Music! Wish us luck!

We'll be camped with the Disco Knights crew, Located at 2:00 & Initiation. If you’re going to the Burn please come by and say hello, be ready for colorful lasers, shiny disco balls, cozy cabana beds, ridiculously good music and an ahhhmazing time with some of the coolest peeps from San Francisco and London! If you are attending please let us know as we’d love to see you there.

We are really stoked to see all the amazing art and performances, to meet some truly unique and artistic folks and to be a part of such an extraordinary event. We have a big adventure ahead of us. Please stay tuned for our stories and pictures from Burning Man and of course the return of My Heart Beats For… events!

Our heart beats for Amin because...
Amin, is not only an amazingly talented artist but he is
also one of the most humble and kindhearted persons that
you could ever meet. I have the honor and the pleasure of calling Amin a friend and I am thrilled to be helping him
with his new non-profit foundation;

will be proud to feature, Amin Moinzadeh and his hats.
He will be making them live and selling them during our
event. We will also be featuring a live photo shoot
including a ton of fashion related artists and an art/gift raffle and auction. All proceeds will go directly to the
HAT foundation and a portion will go towards feeding the homeless in the Tenderloin on Sunday October, 10th.

Here's your chance to give to those in need:

donate a piece of art to be raffled/auctioned off,
attend the event on the 8th,
purchase a piece of art or a hat,
participate in the event as an artist/vendor,

Graphic Arts Workshop is a collective of approximately 40 artists who are dedicated to the creation of fine art printmaking. GAW, was founded by faculty from the California Labor College in 1952. Their societal concerns were reflected in each artist's style of work and in the co-operative form of the Workshop. In addition to fulfilling the mission that the GAW pursues today, members in the early years printed posters, leaflets, and pamphlets in support of peace and civil rights issues. Here's your night to shine! We are planning our special Fashion edition of My Heart Beats For... event on July 9, 2010. Mix and mingle with other fashion industry professionals and enthusiasts and build your network. Participate in our live photo session to add to your portfolio. Designers, join our trunk show and sell your masterpieces! If you wish to participate in this event, please email artist@myheartbeatsforsf.com with images of your work, links, and how you would like to participate (trunk show, photo shoot, etc.) Make sure to enter your profession in the subject of the email (model, designer, photographer, etc.) All confirmed submissions will participate.

Remember, all artists who participate in My Heart Beats For...events get a webpage on our website, all on us. My Heart Beats For...events are open to the public, you don't have to be in the fashion industry to attend, but you do have to love fashion!
